Case Study
Kodiak Hub’s website re-design project with dynamic pages
HubSpot CMS website and HubDB implementation

Client Overview
Kodiak Hub is a cloud-based Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) solution designed for strategic buyers and their teams. It offers a modular suite of SRM tools that support the entire strategic buying journey—from supplier intake and onboarding to risk monitoring, performance management, and collaboration.
As part of Kodiak Hub’s website redesign project, the company wanted to streamline its content management efforts for webinars. Growth London worked as the HubSpot CMS agency on the redesign.
In this case study, we focus specifically on how HubDB was used to power dynamic pages and simplify content management.

The Challenge
The goal of using HubDB and dynamic pages was to eliminate manual work and create an automated, scalable system for managing webinars and other content. Previously updating and maintaining webinars was a manual effort. Webinars were managed as blog posts, which caused several issues.
- Blog pages have limited customization options, making it hard to structure webinar information effectively.
- Each upcoming webinar had to be manually added to the webinar listing page and any mention of a webinar across the website had to be updated individually.
HubSpot blogs have some built-in technical features that are important to understand. One of these is the automatic notification system. When this feature is enabled, contacts who subscribe to a blog will automatically receive email notifications for new posts published. If a client has multiple blogs—for example, separate ones for news, events, and case studies—each blog has its own subscription and notification emails. To receive updates from all of them, a user would need to subscribe to each blog individually.
Overall the blog tool was just not the right tool for the task. To address these challenges, Kodiak Hub needed a more efficient, automated way to manage their webinars —without relying on manual updates or workarounds.

The Solution
With HubDB, Kodiak Hub was able to build a fully dynamic content management flow for webinars that automatically updates content on the website based on the database. Webinar content is now stored in HubDB, acting as a central database. Webinars can be filtered and categorized dynamically (e.g., by topic, date, or tags). Users can easily find relevant webinars without scrolling through an unstructured blog archive.
Key Features Implemented:
Display Form or Video Based on Date
The system automatically changes the structure of the webinar page based on the date. For upcoming webinars the page displays a registration form, but when the webinar date has passed, the registration form disappears and is replaced with a video recording.
Change CTA Text Based on Date
On the webinar listing page, the CTA is automatically changed from Attend webinar to Watch webinar based on the webinar date.
Rich Filtering Options
The webinar listing page now has rich filtering options to search for upcoming or on-demand webinars by topic.
The Outcome
Structured Content
All webinar data is stored in HubDB, ensuring a standardized structure for every webinar. The HubDB table follows a spreadsheet-like structure (similar to Excel), making it easy to manage content.
Streamlined Content Management
For content editing a user-friendly editor interface allows the team to edit webinar details and preview how the changes will appear on the page.
Dynamic Elements
The webinar date is entered into a specific column, and all related elements (registration forms, videos, CTAs) update automatically based on that date.
Updates Throughout the Website
Once the HubDB table is published, the webinar listing page updates dynamically, and a new webinar landing page is automatically created.
